Waiting on Annie.....

Well, here we are at 38 weeks! Where does time go. I can't believe any day now we could be meeting out little Annie. As I sit here and think about the entire pregnancy, I can't help but that God for the blessing he has given me to carry this sweet baby with such a wonderful, complication free pregnancy. It has been a blessing and priviledge to carry her for 9+ months and I will honestly miss knowing she is safe inside, all mine, and definitely miss feeling her kick! :) However, we have waiting 9 months to meet her and are so excited that the time is finally here. Now, not only will I get to experience the joy of carrying this sweet baby girl, but so will her daddy and her wonderful grandparents who are so excited to meet her as well. The bags are pack for the hospital, all the clothes are hung, the nursery is set and everything in place, and we are just waiting with anticipation as the time draws near.
We went to the doctor last Tuesday (June 1st) and he told me I was 2cm dialated and 90% effaced. He thought she might just come this week, but she's still hanging in there and waiting on her big debut. I haven't had any contractions yet and she is still moving all around and having the hiccups ALL the time! We go back to the doctor tomorrow since we are going once a week now and we'll see what he says. Below are some pictures to try and catch up up over the past few months at how Annie (and I) are growing! I've also posted some pictures of her sweet nursery that's waiting on her!

27 weeks!

Wow, It's been a while since the last post. Sorry about that. Life has been a little crazy around the Boss house, moving, working, vacationing, and preparing for little Annie. Let me catch you all up on what has happened over the past month or so. We had our 24 week check up and everything looked great. We also went for a 3-D Ultrasound with my parents, Matt's parents, and little Annie's godmother (Sheri Baytes). We had about a 30minute session but Annie didn't want to fully cooperate so she kept her arm in front of her face about 28 minutes out of the 30minute session. Thankfully, the lady at the US place, told us to come back in 4 weeks to see if we could get some better pictures. So, today was the day. I was 27 weeks on Sunday and we went today for the f/u 3-D US. This session was supposed to last 30minutes as well, but yet again, our little Annie didn't want her face to be seen so it took almost an hour to shake her, turn every which way but standing on my head, and drinking caffine to FINALLY get some cute pictures of her little face. We did find out that she is weighing in about 2lbs 4 oz and has REALLY long toes! (You can see them in one of the pictures :) It was so much fun to get to watch her move all about and to see her face actually filling out and getting a little bit chubby. the US technician even said she was starting to get a little bit of hair on the back of her head! :) We go tomorrow for our 27 week check up with the OBGYN. In the past 2-3 weeks, I have grown quite a bit and people can finally tell that I'm pregnant instead of just gaining weight! :) Annie is quite active and moves all the time. Thankfully she sleeps well at night so we are hoping that is a good sign for when she's actually born. Below, are some of the pictures that we got with the 3-D US and I put in a picture of me at 27 weeks. For now, things are going great here and we are so excited to meet our little Annie Lane in less than 3 months!

19 week check up.....It's girl!!!!

Yesterday, Matt and I went for our 19 week check up and found out that the baby was healthy, growing well, and the BIG news/reveal......it's a girl!!! I drank about half of a Mellow Yellow before we went to the OB so she would be moving around and that she was. The doctor was actually laughing because at this visit you get all the measurements and she was flipping from one side to the other making it hard to measure. (Note: That is why in one picture she is on her stomach and the next she is on her back! :) He told us we were going to have our hands full when she comes out if she's still going like this! But, everything looks great. Her measurement are all good (she is actually a couple of week bigger than her due date so either she'll come early or we're going to have ourselves a big little girl! We have decided on the name Annie Lane Boss. We wanted something that wasn't common but at the same time was simple. We had some friend come over last night and brought us our first little girl gift (Picture above) and an adorable pink and green polka dot onesie cake! I can already tell we're going to have a lot of fun with all the pink and ruffles!
Since I didn't post last week, I also wanted to catch up a little with what else has been going on. Last Sunday, January 16th, was the first time I actually felt Annie move. We were on our way home from church, and I felt a small little bump. I wasn't confident it was her, but it felt different. On Monday, I felt her again for about 5 minutes after lunch. Since then, she has been on the move and moves all the time (especially when I eat chocolate...just like her mother!) It's so awesome to finally get to feel her move and Matt is dying to feel her. Hopefully it won't be to long and he can feel her move all around as well.
So, things are going well here and we are continuing to prepare for our baby girl! The fun part is about to begin as we start to decorate the nursery and get things ready for June. This pregnancy is flying by and she will be here before we know it!

The journey of starting a blog....

16 week bump (Just barely starting to show)
BB at our 6 week check up (Just a small butterbean!)

BB at 10 week check up (Facing down)

BB at 15 week check up (Hand on top of head)

15 week check up (My favorite...BB sucking thumb!)

15 weeks (Just relaxing!)

So, now that Matt and I are expecting our first baby on June 19,2011, I thought it would be a good time to start a blog so we can remember all that happens and be able to share it with our family and friends all over the USA and world. Hopefully we'll be able to keep you up to date with all the latest pregnancy info until BB (Baby Boss) arrives and then we will share all the exciting moments and stories as we watch our little one grow! To catch everyone up to date with where we are now....Tomorrow, January 2nd I will be 16 weeks along. We just had our 3rd ultrasound this past Tuesday and although we tried very hard to find out the sex of BB it was a little too early. The doctor said that hopefully we will be able to find out at our visit next month. I'm starting with a tiny little bump ( we'll post a picture in a bit) so it's starting to feel a little more real. The doctor told us BB is doing great and looks healthy as well. So, as we start this new year and this new blog, we hope you will all be blessed in this new year to come and enjoy this blog as we share this special journey of our lives with you! Happy 2011 to everyone from all of us here in SC!
